Trip itinerary:
Day 1 – Arrival in Sofia . Visit Orthodox monasteries. Visit to the Rila Monastery is an impressive architectural complex of great cultural and historical importance for Bulgaria.
Day 2 – Visit typical villages. Visita a Melnik ( home Kordopulova ) and Rozhen Monastery . Drive to the village Dobarsko and visit the ancient church 1614 . Driving Bansko and visit the house and the church St. Velianova Trinidad.
Day 3 – Moderate hiking. Visit the village of Dolen ( cultural and historical reserve ) and then drive the Trigrad gorge and the cave of the Devil's Throat .
Day 4 – Moderate hiking. Transfer to the typical village of Shiroka Laka and visit the natural rocky phenomenon Wonderful Bridges. Departure to Plovdiv .
Day 5 – Visits to cities. Tour of the Old Plovdiv including the house ” Nedkovich ” , Roman amphitheater , the church “St. Constantine and Elena “, ” Trakart ” Private museum (where you can see the famous glass working technique of Millefiori) , the ethnographic museum, etc, etc . Overnight in Plovdiv.
Day 6 – Visits to typical villages. Ethnographic complex ” Pm ” ( village and outdoor museum of old Bulgarian crafts ) , traditional village of Tryavna (clock tower , typical house” DASKALOV “) , Bozhentsi village ( magnificent examples of 19th century houses ).
Day 7 – Moderate hiking. Meandering along the White River Canyon in the ecotrail of Byala Reka near Kalofer. A spectacular hike is done 2 hours,going 8 bridges, some waterfalls and fantastic views of the surrounding forests and mountains of the Central Balkan. Back to the capital Sofia to visit. There is the option of visiting the museum town of Koprivshtitsa with wonderful examples of Bulgarian Renaissance houses of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.
Day 8 – Transfer to airport and departure to Spain.
