Hiking in high mountains in Bulgaria.
Summary of contents of this page:
Duration: 10 days, to choose from March to October.
We propose a guided Trekking in Bulgaria in the high mountains that will be intense, with a lot of adventure in the mountains. The route runs through part of the Balkan Mountains - which is the longest mountain range in the entire Balkan Peninsula., with 555 km., and that has also given the name to the peninsula. We will go through the most famous and emblematic hiking route, the route from KOM to EMINE (integrated into European E3), which is recognized among walkers throughout Europe.
We will pass through a Natural Park and six biosphere reserves. Next to spectacular nature - green forests, peaks, rivers and rocks, there are many authentic villages and monasteries from the Bulgarian Renaissance period.
The landscape is very different from what we are used to in Spain, in addition to conifers we will find extensive forests of deciduous trees, especially beech and birch.
We have designed a "forward" route to reduce wasted time in transfers and thus spend as much time as possible on the mountain.
The local Spanish-speaking guide takes care of everything and adapts the difficulty of the hikes to the preferences of the travelers, they just have to enjoy the experience and the anecdotes that will surely emerge during the trip… He is a very experienced mountain guide, ideal for managing contingencies or looking for alternative routes, and also an expert in cultural visits around the country.

The guided trekking trip in Bulgaria that we propose crosses the Central Balkan mountain range from West to East, it is a mountain range of great beauty and evergreen greenery. We will also visit several towns where an authentic rural way of life persists and monasteries with a very peculiar architecture and little known in the rest of Europe..
Due to the fact that sparsely populated areas are crossed, the route forces us to use mountain accommodations, They are mountain lodges with common services, but they are clean and the staff is very friendly. Our local guides travel this route throughout the Spring and Summer with travelers from different countries and all the clients who have passed through there are very happy, in fact the night there is what they remember the most, more than hotels, for the multiple anecdotes that arise.
